Koska is a brand name recognized for its high quality products. Koska set up its first factory in 1974 in Istanbul, although its tradition of helva making goes back to an early 19th century helva shop operated by Hajji Emin Bey in the west Anatolian town of Denizli. Koska is known for a variety of high quality products such as nougat, preserves, and, of course, helvas. Koskas current facility is a 135,000 sq. ft. plant in Istanbul dedicated to the production of a distinguished line of confections.

The special grapes for this delicious Grape Molasses are grown in the Aegean and Anatolian regions of Turkey. The grapes are cooked and reduced to make this silky syrup for topping waffles, pancakes, biscuits or toast. This delectible grape molasses is ideal for meat glaze and for other cooking and baking. Grape Molasses is high in carbohydrates and sugar content and thus a high energy food. Excellent when combined with Tahini (sesame paste) as a dessert and eaten with Turkish bread. When served on bread slices, could be likened to an American peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich.
