Description   The peonies and leaf motifs on the Madalyon Vase have been inspired by an atique Syrian or Egyptian glass vase dated to the beginning of the 14th century. Altough these antique vases, which were rare example of Mameluke period glass, were originally produced as oil lamps for mosques, they were never used as such because of their wide mouths, reministcent of Chinese vases. The Madalyon Vase is hand made and all its patterns of relief have also been produced by hand, using a relief painting technique and 24 carat gold plating. Turkce Aciklama (Turkish Description) Madalyon Vazo uzerindeki sakayik cicegi ve yaprak motifleri, 14. yy baslarina tarihlenen Suriye veya Misir kokenli antik bir cam vazodan esinlenilerek uretilmistir. Memluk donemi camlarinin az bulunur orneklerinden olan antik vazo cami kandili olarak uretilmis olmasina ragmen agizlarinin Cin vazolarina benzeyen acikligi nedeniyle kandil olarak kullanilmamistir. Madalyon Vazo, el imalati camdan uretilmis olup uzerinde kabartmali boya teknigi ile olusturulan rolyef desenlerin tumu el isciligi ile 24 ayar altin yaldiz kaplanarak gerceklestirilmistir.
