Description

The Koruyan Bowl has been inspired bye an antique glass form Egypt or Syria, dating to the end of the 13th or beginning of the 14th century. It is now on exhibit at the New york Metropolitan Museum of Art.

It whole surface decorated with very fine gold worksmanship using Rumi patterns, the Koruyan Bowl has red and green flower motifs and rumi designs bordered with cobalt blue. The figures of eagles set into the three rows of cobalt-bordered medallions on the body and base represent the "protective spirit".

The Koruyan Bowl is hand made and all its patterns of relief have also been produced by hand, using a relief painting technique and 24 carat gold plating.

Koruyan Kase, New York Metropolitan Sanat Muzesin'de sergilenmekte olan 13.yy sonlarina veya 14.yy baslarina tarihlenen, Misir veya Suriye kokenli antik cam kadehten esinlenerek uretilmistir.

Tum yuzeyi cok ince altin isciligi ile ve rumi motiflerle bezenmis olan Koruyan Kase uzerinde kirmizi ve yesil renkli cicek motifleri, madalyonlar icinde kobalt rengi bordurlu rumi desenler bulunmaktadir. Govde ve ayak uzerinde 3 sira halinde kobalt bordurlu madalyonlar icindeki kartal figurleri, "koruyucu ruh" u simgelemektedir.

Koruyan Kase, el imalati camdan uretilmis olup uzerinde kabartmali boya teknigi ile olusturulan rolfey desenlerin tumu el isciligi ile 24 ayar altin yaldiz kaplanarak gerceklestirilmistir.
