Seeking solace from the glass in its desperation, running toward infinity, lost in the colors of the enamel.

Toward the middle of the 14th century, the colors on enameled glass were almost always red on the contours, blue in wide spaces and on letters and gilded on remaining surfaces. the Ceylan Pitcher was inspired by a glass pitcher that dates back to mid 14th century. The medallions on the hand made glass pitcher depict stylized gazelles that have been attacked by a lion, from which the pitcher takes its name.

Bir ceylan, ahu bakisli... Aslan saldirisina ugramis, urkek ve telasli. Can havliyle camdan medey umuyor, mineler arasinda sonsuza kosuyor.

14.yy'in ortalarina dogru mineli camlarda: konturlarda kirmizi, genis satih ve yazilarda mavi, geri kalan yuzeylerde ise altin kullanimi hemen hemen kural haline gelmistir. Ceylan Surahi, 14.yy ortalarina tarihlenen, antik cam surahiden esinle uratilmistir. El yapimi cam surahi uzerindeki madalyonlarda, aslanin saldirdigi ceylanlar resmedilmis, surahi de adini bu ceylanlardan almistir.
